MADE TO MEASURE

OUR VISION

At Shaw’s, our made to measure tailoring is designed to be worn, not saved for special occasions.

Our house style takes inspiration from relaxed tailoring in the 80s and 90s, but for a modern wardrobe. Think soft construction and natural shoulders. Relaxed double-breasted jackets, high rise pleated trousers with an easy fuller line.

The result is tailoring that feels considered but never overdone, strong in silhouette, comfortable to wear, and easy to make your own. Our made to order service allows us to create garments around your style, proportions, and lifestyle.

We offer suiting, jackets, trousers, shirts and outerwear, plus more individual pieces. Each thing is made with this Shaw's philosophy of relaxed proportion and comfort when you're wearing it.

Appointments are available through our traveling tailoring service across the UK and in London by arrangement. Made to measure suits start from Β£1,150.

MADE TO MEASURE PROCESS

Our Made to Measure process is outlined below, taking you through each stage from the first appointment and cloth selection to fittings and final delivery. Straightforward, personal and built around you.

Step 1  - Arrange Appointment

Book a travelling appointment at a location of your choosing, or arrange a visit to our by-appointment-only London showroom. Each consultation is unhurried and tailored to you. Click here to arrange an appointment.

Step 2 - Fabric Selection

Choose from our in-house cloths, or explore a wide selection from some of the finest mills across the UK, Italy, and beyond. We’ll guide you through weight, texture, and colour to suit how and where the garment will be worn.

Step 3 - Measurements

We take your initial measurements and apply them to one of our established blocks. From there, we assess posture and balance to build a pattern that’s unique to you.

Step 4 - Styling Details

You’ll be taken through the available styling options for your chosen garment, from silhouette and structure to finishing details, ensuring every choice feels considered and intentional.

Step 5 - First Fitting

Around 4 to 6 weeks later, we meet for your first fitting. Taking approximately 30 minutes, this fitting allows us to assess the garment on the body and determine any minor refinements needed to perfect the fit.

Step 6 - Handover

Once complete, the garment is yours to take away and begin wearing as intended; lived in, styled freely, and returned to often.
