We spend a lot of time in London.. visiting suppliers, meeting Made to Order clients and working through the many moving parts behind Shaw’s. No matter where the day begins, we often seem to find ourselves back in Soho.
It is one of those parts of London that never feels quite the same twice: busy, creative, a little chaotic and full of places worth returning to. Between appointments, these are three of our regular stops.
Crunch
60 Dean Street, Soho
A proper lunch spot when time is short but you still want something memorable. Crunch takes the humble toastie and gives it the attention it deserves, with an ever-changing menu of brilliant sandwiches.
The Patty Melt is the one we keep going back for — essentially a burger in a toastie, and about as good as that sounds. Rich, messy and well worth building a meeting around.

Algerian Coffee Stores
52 Old Compton Street, Soho
Founded in 1887, Algerian Coffee Stores is a Soho institution. The shelves are packed with coffees, teas and equipment, but it is the espresso that keeps us coming back.
It is great value, consistently excellent and exactly the sort of place that gives the area its character. A quick stop before a day of appointments, or a chance to take five minutes and reset between meetings.

The Devonshire
17 Denman Street, Soho
The Devonshire has quickly become a favourite. In our opinion, it serves the best Guinness in London — a bold claim, but one we are happy to stand by.
We have had many an enjoyable lunch on the roof terrace, talking through product ideas, suppliers and whatever else is on the agenda. It is the kind of place where a quick pint can easily turn into a full afternoon of conversation, which is often when the best ideas surface.
