Made in Italy from a 70% wool and 30% cashmere blend, it has the warmth and substance you want from a wool knit, softened by the addition of cashmere. The result is comfortable against the skin while still feeling robust enough for everyday wear.
The Donegal-style flecked yarn is what really gives the Hosea its character. Small variations of colour run throughout the knit, creating subtle texture and depth that becomes more apparent the closer you look. It gives the jumper a slightly more relaxed, lived-in quality than a traditional plain crew neck.
We have kept the shape equally easy. The Hosea is cut in a regular fit, with a hammer shoulder that creates a softer, more natural line across the body. There is less rigidity through the shoulder, allowing the knit to sit comfortably whether worn on its own or layered.
It is also the kind of piece that works particularly well alongside tailoring. Wear it under a softly constructed jacket in place of a shirt, with tailored trousers and loafers, or more casually with denim, chinos and a heavier coat as the temperature drops.
